Greetings from team GLD Movement
New beginning always inspires us! We together started our 5th year of positive, result oriented social contributing journey.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all our volunteers, trustees, donors, mentors and beneficiaries who present here at Theni (Anugragha Nagar) during the meeting and those who share their well wishes from distance even they cannot make it in person. With all your collaboration, support, guidance and best wishes we are starting our 5th year journey today. As planned, Energizer’s from different part of states join us to begin our “Energizer Meet- 2016”.
The annual family get together is always Energize every one of us. As a Volunteer and founder of the organization every annual meet is special moment for me and it’s very close to my heart, it always gives me very positive energy to do more as well better than last time. I got great experience and like to share with you here.
We begin our meeting with welcome note. I too got opportunity to introduce GLD Movement and it’s activities to new members and volunteers. Suthakaran who is playing very vital role in FTC and it’s progress shared, how FTC begins it’s journey and his personal experience with FTC. Also explained, What is our long term vision for FTC? He highlighted about how the regular things get different colours in life when we adopt and start doing it for the cause (FTC).

Jeyagowri who is key person in all Karnataka related GLD Movement activities shared her experience with “Ignite Me” program (An initiative supported by CAO-Junior, with the motto of brining light in rural government school student’s education by providing solar lamps). She also highlighted the importance of family support to carry forward her social contribution. Specially, she thank her life partner Saravanababu an inspiring FTC volunteer and supporter for Ignite Me program, always motivate Jeyagowri in her social contribution journey.
Baskaran, Asst. Librarian – Redhills, his volunteering attitude inspire many of us. He talked about how they bring changes to library they belongs to with the help of public support? That is really inspiring example for any librarian who like to bring the chance to library. Here we have to mentioned another important person Uma Rani – Librarian – Redhills , they together introduce great opportunity us. That helps us to collaborate with rural libraries and it’s developments journey at our level and spread the idea to public.
Saravanan (our Secretary) shared, how we begin our journey 4 years before? How we are progressing? And how we like to proceed further? He also highlighted the core value of GLD Movement. He insists on the sustainable development and progress for any activities we do. He introduced new initiatives and projects GLD Movement planning ahead. [ Refer : Presentation attached]

Neeraj, an inspiring individual who is part of FTC, shared his experience with GLD Movement and it’s activities. He also shared his thoughts on “Inspiration and Motivation”. He talked about the today’s digital trend and it’s influences, impact in the society. He expressed his wish to contribute his part in that area. Poonam, done knowledge sharing on “Chappathi Making” to all the South Indian women after evening walk. I seen cultural and knowledge sharing during that process. I personally recalled the meaning of “Unity in Diversity” and how this Nation demonstrates the same to the world till today? Because, all these (knowledge sharing) happens within lesser than 12hrs after their meeting time
Ramadevi, done very excellent translation of Neeraj speech from English to Tamil and coordinated for all necessary activities during Energizer Meet
Vijayaraj, our chief guest by his action and contribution to the local government school students and villegers in Agamalai area shared his experience and expectations. He rightly highlighted very important needs of students and people who are living in the villages of Western Ghats (specially in Theni District). It’s also open us great opportunity to do lot more in this region. Currently he is working on the new project, as he explained it’ll bring the change in the way his school students learning. On behalf of team GLD Movement we convey our greetings and wishes for the success of this initiative. Thanks to Thangeswaran for introducing Vijayaraj to GLD Movement.
Ignite Me Requests:
Government School students request forms from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka received from Baskaran and Saravanababu respectively. As of now we identified around 750 school students for the solar lamps requirement for this year thanks to Gowri, Saravanababu, Baskaran, Thilak Raj, Ashok and schools of Karnataka and Tamilnadu. This year we are planning to support 1000 rural students.

It’s time to recognize everyone’s contribution; I have no words to express them here because as per me, volunteering is the feeling that everyone experience by doing, not by words. I like to thanks everyone from my bottom of the heart for their excellent contribution. They made everything possible for us. Some moments here for you
And got opportunity to thank everyone before closing morning session and getting ready for delicious lunch with team.

I personally thank the whole family members Vijaya, Kumaresan, Rama, Suriya, Buvaneswari, Sarajo, Rajaiah and Poonam for giving us very delicious food for all three times.

Post lunch the whole team had brainstorming session to improve the way we do and points regarding CAO- Junior, CAO-Yuva, CAO-CM, CAO-Intellect, fund raising possibilities, 80G, At and After School, At and After College supports to rural students, alternative options for solar lamps discussed. Great ideas, suggestion given by the team to take it forward, now team will focus on realizing them.
Our long time supporter and supplier of solar lamps for our Ignite me program Pavalan shared about D-light and it’s products also discussed with team post lunch session.
For The Cause Walk with Nature:
As planned all team members joined the FTC “Walk with Nature” in the evening. Various points discussed during the walk. It’s really great pleasure being with Nature. It’s also one of the key reasons we found this as our annual meeting location. Open discussion really open new doors to us.
Few of them started their journey before dinner to catch their buses and few with us for dinner. Overall it’s great new beginning and it’s always energizing to do more.
Once again my hearty thanks to everyone and their families for their support, guidance, collaboration in positive, results oriented social contributing journey. Also, I welcome everyone of you to be part of this journey in possible way.
